Article by Mr Koutinas. Contribution of Liability Insurance on fighting antipiracy of vessels

A new article of Mr George Koutinas was published in the Greek daily business journal NAFTEMPORIKI, issue of 8th December 2011, titled “Insurance, supports fighting against piracy of vessels”.

The reason for this article apart from a recent professional deal (insurance cover of liabilities of a security services company, expert in antipiracy of vessels) was the various published articles referring to the reluctance of the Greek Government to allow by law the presence of armed security guards on vessels crossing maritime zones, dangerous for piracy. Practice, that the International Maritime Organization has already adopted as the most effective way on fighting antipiracy and on rendering insurance more viable and cost effective solution.
